Colors

i was playing around with colors and came up with some interesting palettes! working with something like this might be useful to help me learn how to use color more effectively, and i thought it might be of interest to other people, too. i think this technique would be very helpful when coming up with limited color palettes.

i always start with a white background layer. to get the colors to mix, i used two additional separate layers, one for each color to be mixed. i drew three lines with the same color at three different opacities: 75%, 50%, and 25%. then i drew three more lines at the same opacities in a different color on the second layer. i set both layers to multiply, and they mix beautifully! with multiply, it doesn't matter which layer is on top or bottom, since it looks the same either way.
